NEVER MIND THE WEATHER, LET’S GET TOGETHER!

NEVER MIND THE WEATHER, LET’S GET TOGETHER!

Posted by Nicola Rogers on 28th Jan 2019

Britain’s weather is nothing but unpredictable and especially so with the change of seasons. In 2017, March began with unsettled but mild weather and strong winds from off the Atlantic. Temperatures then plummeted and a colder, drier spell of high pressure dominated before another period of stormy, wet weather arrived at the end of the month. On the other hand, March 2018 commenced with an exceptionally cold spell of sub-zero day time temperatures, giving way to an extended mild spell of wet weather. There was then a second cold burst with snow across the entire country, though not as severe as the first and the month ended on a milder wet and sunny regime.

One thing is for sure, if we waited until the optimum climatic conditions before organising outdoor events in this northerly hemisphere, nothing would happen! So, what do we do? We adapt and compensate.

In the next few months the great emergence from hibernation begins with all sorts of outdoor events planned for the spring season. Have you booked your place to attend an exhibition, trade fair or outdoor event in 2019? Some of the UK’s early events and festivals are listed below, but there could be other more local ones that will specifically attract your potential customer. Wherever they go, your business needs to be there too!

Get well-equipped

In order to face any unexpected meteorological occurrence, you need to brace yourselves when participating in outdoor events and that means making use of equipment man enough to withstand the elements. Although there is an ever-increasing selection of outdoor display paraphernalia on the market, not all of the products are weatherproof, so check your equipment to ensure your time at the show isn’t short lived!

Roller Banners offer a range of outdoor banners, outdoor banner display stands and promotional flags all printed on site using the latest UV and Dye Sublimation techniques in high resolution full colour. Outdoor inks and durable materials are used to ensure all products are versatile and endure the elements long-term.

A popular choice is the Outdoor Banner Frame complete with its own printed PVC banner which is attached with bungee cords. Pegs are also supplied to anchor the frame to the ground, securely fastened against any weather.

Other frames are wall mounted, or printed on mesh allowing the wind to blow through without dislodging it from it’s securings. Other types of displays are X frames, with the water filled base for stability and if you need something really high impact, the massive free standing EXO Banner display. Add some feather blade flags and pop out banners to finish off your exhibit and draw in the crowds.

Roller Banner Innovation

A great addition to the Roller Banners portfolio and proving popular is the outdoor version of the Budget roller banner. This is the midrange stand perfect for long-term and frequent use and has even greater stability by virtue of two long feet and additional grounding pegs which enable it to withstand winds of Beaufort scale 5 (18-24 mph/29-38kph).

The stand comes as a single sided display with one banner or double sided with two banners and the graphics are printed in high resolution print on weatherproof Supersmooth lightstop material.
